Edinburgh based Bruntsford Links Golfing Society saw a vote of 83.7% members cast in favour of allowing women members, with 67% of all eligible members participating.
So Muirfield or to give its proper title, The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, has formally invited women to join the club as members for the first time since voting to change the club’s rules in 2017.
Brilliant! Muirfield members have been banned from sitting on a park bench in Edinburgh, by a bunch of cheeky ladies.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic golf venue has at last voted to admit women as full members. The Kasumigaseki Country Club was warned by the International Olympic Committee earlier this month that they would loose the event if they failed to do so.
