Amateur Melichova wins Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Czech amateur Jana Melichova triumphed at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open securing a one-shot victory at Royal Beroun Golf Club. After rounds of 68 and 65 on the first two days, the 24-year-old produced a final round of 69 to seal the victory. It was an excellent start to day three for Melichova who rolled in birdies on holes four, five, seven and nine to make the turn in 32 (-4).

Gabriella Cowley edges fifth Rose Series event

Despite dropping three shots in her last three holes, Gabriella Cowley held on to win the fifth Rose Ladies Series event at the JCB Golf and Country Club. A year after finishing tied for second in the Hero Women’s Indian Open, Christine Wolf enjoyed a much happier experience at DLF Golf and Country Club as she claimed her first Ladies European Tour title.  The 30-year-old Austrian, who had led by three going into the 18th hole 12 months ago before a nightmare double-bogey wrecked her chances, was able to take care of unfinished business.
