Here's a look at what the tour players have been up to this week, as seen on Instagram.
A routine Golf Bunk went terribly wrong for a a vice mayor in a southeastern Chinese city. He's been sacked for playing golf when he should have been working, a move taken as part of a corruption crackdown.
He’s at it again, that Gorgeous George, sat between a pile of his dad’s old 78s, and a load of his old GolfPunk magazines. George has put together the top 10 of all top 10’s, and promised us it’s not just a list of his favourite bands. Plus a badly photoshopped picture to prove the point!
George has been at it again: Sat between a pile of his dad’s old records, and a load of his old GolfPunk magazines he’s put together the top 10 of all top 10’s, and promised us it’s not just a list of his favourite bands. So, who have we got here?
TaylorMade's PGA Tour Truck is like a rolling BatCave for golf geeks, full of the latest shiny sticks, and latest golf gizmo's. You could even call it the golf Tardis, as it actually is bigger on the inside than the outside, at least it is when it pushes its walls out when stationary. However you want to think of it though, it's bloody cool.
Jason Day has had a season for the ages. In a year when Jordan Spieth has dominated the majors, and Rory McIlroy has had his fair share of the headlines, Jason Day has stepped up and shown he can be one of the dominant players of the era.
It didn’t rain (that much) today, and the crowds came out in their droves. Who says the young guns aren’t already making a difference? They came to see Jordan, and he did not disappoint. In the end he won comfortably with a two under 69 to beat Henrik Stenson by four shots.
More rain. It rained all night, and most of the day to put a dampener on moving day scoring. The day went to Jordan Spieth, who had to make four serious par saves to keep in contention. He then nailed a twenty-footer on the 18th for a birdie to overtake Henrik Stenson for the outright lead.
Here's our wrap on Day One of the final event in the FedEx, the Tour Championship. Only 30 in the field now. What's been occurring? Mostly Henrik Stenson if you have to know.
Dustin Johnson has had some year. His sabbatical didn't seem to affect his golf, as he came out firing on all cylinders winning the WGC Cadillac Championship. He's had a son, Tatum, with the lovely Paulina Gretzky. And he came within a putt of the winning the US Open. So it's no surprise he fancied treating himself to a new house.
He wowed us at the Open in St Andrews, and he secured the Walker Cup win at Lytham. Now Irish golfer Paul Dunne has turned professional.
