Scottie Scheffler confirmed his status as world number one by claiming his first major title in the 86th Masters at Augusta National. The American had the luxury of being able to four-putt the last hole and still win by three shots from a late-charging Rory McIlroy. Scheffler closed with a 71 to finish at ten-under-par ahead of the charging McIlroy who lit up the course with a final round 64.

The low scoring on the LPGA continued at the LA Open where Jessica Korda followed up her opening round seven-under 64 with a flawless second round 65. The 28-year-old, who won the season’s first event at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions, looks good for a wire-to-wire win at Wilshire Country Club this week.

Canadian Richard T. Lee fired a classy eight-under-par 65 to take the halfway lead in The International Series Morocco today at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. The famous venue’s Red Course once again provided a stern test, but Lee impressively rose to the challenge making an eagle and six birdies to move to nine under par for the US$1.5 million event. He was one of only five players to break 70.
