With The Masters teeing off the golf season is in full swing. The sport’s surge in popularity since the start of the pandemic has seen more families take to the course and American Golf has made sure there’s cool kit for everyone to get back into golf.
Thailand’s Patty Tavatanakit kicked off the LPGA Tour’s Spring Asian Swing with a flourish, carding a bogey-free five-under 67 to take the first-round lead at the 2022 HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.
After a second-straight 65 at the CME Group Tour Championship, Celine Boutier took a four-stroke lead in Naples at fourteen-under. Her 130 becomes a career and tournament-best 36-hole score, as she holds the second-round lead for only the second time in her career. It’s the fourth time in 24 starts this season that Boutier has opened up with two straight rounds in the 60s.
Betfred British Masters host Danny Willett’s performance at The Belfry during this year’s tournament secured a £19,000 donation from tournament title sponsors Betfred to Prostate Cancer UK.
Robert MacIntyre carded the joint-lowest round of the day, a six under-par 66, as he took a share of the lead at the halfway stage of the Betfred British Masters hosted by Danny Willett.
It was a day of upsets at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. Bryson DeChambeau's loss to Frenchman Antoine Rozner was the shock of the day closely followed by the hefty defeat Rory McIlroy suffered at Ian Poulter's hands.
So we all know where to get our Handicap Index and how to then calculate our handicap for a given course and set of tees. However, did you know that you then need to adjust your handicap further using the Handicap Allowance table to arrive at your playing handicap? A subtle change that will not impact hugely apart from those with much higher handicaps but one that rather came in under the radar.
Stars of the Ladies European Tour are ready to make golfing history this week as they play in Saudi Arabia’s first ever professional female tournaments, taking place in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). Held within a safe bio-secure environment, 108 of the tour’s best golfers are in the Kingdom competing for a total $1.5million prize-fund for the landmark Ladies European Tour events.

We must say we like the look of the new Stewart Golf HottMitt. Who wouldn’t want toasty warm hands on the golf course? The mobile phone or device holder and charger does look like a bit of techfoolery (Is that a new word? - Ed) but each to their own. But might there be other uses?
