36 year-old South African Jaco Van Zyl was the man on fire today at the Turkish Airlines Open in Belek. He shot a sensational eleven under 61 on the par 72 course. He did not drop a single shot, had four birdies on the front nine, and a further four on the back nine as well as an eagle on the par five 11th.
Team USA opened with their most significant lead after day one of a Ryder Cup against Europe by winning both of Friday's sessions 3-1 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin. The last time a team earned 3 or more points in each of the first two sessions was in 2004, when Team Europe went 3½-½, 3-1 at Oakland Hills on its way to a 18½ -9½ victory on foreign soil.

OK, so I always put money on Kevin Kisner to win every major. Don't ask me why. I just get the impression he might one day. So I always put money on him at the majors. Always. Except for this time.
