Tiger Woods is back! The Hero World Challenge could be the place he announces his arrival back to competitive golf in style. After all, it is one of those events where it could actually happen. With only 18 players taking part in this no-cut event it gives Woods a fantastic opportunity to do so. Apparently, he is even outdriving Dustin Johnson!

Collin Morikawa closed with a three-under-par 69 to clinch a three-shot victory at the World Golf Championships-Workday Championship at The Concession Club in Florida. After an early slip up with a bogey at the 2nd hole, Morikawa was flawless after that as he covered the remaining sixteen holes in four-under.

Call us old cynics but are the latest set of changes at the Golf Hall of Fame just a dressed way to get Tiger Woods inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame a few years earlier and boost the quality of the list of possible inductees for the 2021 draft? The rules were only changed some four years ago to move the minimum age from 40 to 50 and now it is being edged back to 45.

As previously reported, the Golf Hall of Fame recently amended the qualification criteria moving the minimum age for both male and females to 45 from 50. So, it was hardly a ‘dropped my bacon sandwich’ moment when we learned that Tiger was on the list of finalists.

The crowds were out on mass to watch Tiger slay the beast, that is Bethpage Black, but it was his playing partner and holder Brooks Koepka who showed how it was done. Koepka’s course record, bogey free, seven under 63 was as unexpected as it was impressive. This is Bethpage Black after all where par is considered a good score.
