Without wishing to tempt fate, it looks like we may be fine-tuning those swings and getting back on the links soon in the UK. A UK Parliament's All-Party Group has suggested that golf should return quickly, and the R&A has prepared guidance for operating courses under COVID-19 restrictions.
Christine Wolf shot an excellent five-under-par 67 in the third round of the Hero Women’s Indian Open to take a one stroke lead into the final round at DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram. The 30-year-old Austrian will be determined to make amends for last year when she dumped her third shot into the water at the 18th to take a double bogey and lose the event by two shots.
Local favourite Stephanie Meadow will take a four shot lead into the final round of the ISPS HANDA World Invitational. The 27-year-old from Jordanstown, Northern Ireland shot a six under par 67 to sit on ten under for the event, four clear of England’s Eleanor Givens. In the men’s event, Damien Perrier of France and Todd Clement of England lead the field by a single shot following another long day with rain delays at Galgorm Castle.
As majors go, the AIG Women’s British Open was a classic. Hinako Shibuno, the 20 year old Japanese rookie, who had never set foot in a tournament outside of her home country holed, in some style we might add, a 20ft putt on the 18th to secure the title. Just moments before Lizette Salas had missed a much shorter chance in front of an amazing crowd.

Cleeks GC's Adrian Meronk faced some tense moments on the back nine Saturday night at LIV Golf Riyadh presented by Ma'aden. On the other hand, Jon Rahm's Legion XIII spent the final round mostly in cruise control, their substantial lead never seriously threatened on the team leaderboard.
Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa are tied at the top of the Valhalla leaderboard ahead of the final round of the 2024 Championship. Sahith Theegala is one stroke back in second, while Shane Lowry has forced himself into contention after matching Schauffele's 62 from Thursday's opening round, including reaching the turn in 29 strokes.
Marc Leishman hasn’t had many opportunities in recent years to enter the final round of a golf tournament as the solo leader. However, after shooting a second-round 66 to move to eleven-under-par at LIV Golf Tucson, the Australian will reacquaint himself with the pressure. He leads by two shots over Sergio Garcia going into Sunday’s final round at The Gallery Golf Club.
