If Golfers Were Bands No4
Maybe we've just got too much time on our hands. Maybe we've gone mad, but we’re pretty sure that golf and music have more in common than you may think. So, if golfers were bands, who would they be?

TaylorMade's PGA Tour Truck is like a rolling BatCave for golf geeks, full of the latest shiny sticks, and latest golf gizmo's. You could even call it the golf Tardis, as it actually is bigger on the inside than the outside, at least it is when it pushes its walls out when stationary. However you want to think of it though, it's bloody cool.
Callaway’s Apex irons were one of the big success stories over the last couple of seasons. We all want more help, but we don’t want to use chopper big bats. The Apex felt great, and the ball flew miles, without looking like a garden rake. The Apex CF16 is their update.
Jordan Spieth missd the cut at the first two event's in the FedExCup playoffs, but he didn't let that stop him. Going back back to his old Titleist 714 AP2 irons, Jordan finished 13th last week, and won the Tour Championship this week to win the FedExCup and the $10 Million bonus.
It didn’t rain (that much) today, and the crowds came out in their droves. Who says the young guns aren’t already making a difference? They came to see Jordan, and he did not disappoint. In the end he won comfortably with a two under 69 to beat Henrik Stenson by four shots.
More rain. It rained all night, and most of the day to put a dampener on moving day scoring. The day went to Jordan Spieth, who had to make four serious par saves to keep in contention. He then nailed a twenty-footer on the 18th for a birdie to overtake Henrik Stenson for the outright lead.
Emily Kristine Pedersen and Celine Herbin tied at -11 after both shooting 70s in their final rounds to finish on 269. Herbin then won the play off to secure her first LET victory and send the home fans into raptures.
No one has been going really low today. The rain has made the rough that much more penal, and focused everyone’s attention on hitting fairways. There’s zero reward in being off-line, and that’s kept it conservative out there today. It’s frankly been a very quiet day indeed. Zzzzzzz.
Gladys Nocera fires opening round 65, Charley Hull shots 68, Amy Boulden 69 and Carly Booth a +1 71. Projected cut for round 2 is +2. Not good news for Solheim hero Cristie Kerr who carded a +4 74 and has work to do to make the weekend.
No nonsense Aussie coaching from Sandy Jamieson. First up, how to hit the ball 400 yards.
Dustin Johnson has had some year. His sabbatical didn't seem to affect his golf, as he came out firing on all cylinders winning the WGC Cadillac Championship. He's had a son, Tatum, with the lovely Paulina Gretzky. And he came within a putt of the winning the US Open. So it's no surprise he fancied treating himself to a new house.
Titleist have switched things up with the launch of the 816 H1 and H2 hybrids. Realising that hybrids need to be gapped distance wise with a set of irons, they've switched the release schedule to come out the same time as the irons rather than with the driver and irons.
