We all know that golf is coming back to the Olympics in Rio after a break of 108 years. Yet we don’t feel that golf, at least at a professional level, has really embraced this development. And this pisses us right off.
The PGA Tour is trying to organize a test event for the new Olympic course in Rio de Janeiro. But the Tour is struggling to find anyone who has time in their already hectic schedules. But they have to do it. Can they pull it off?
If anyone was going to suffer with the banning of the broom handle putter, it was always going to be Tim Clark. A pro who has never used a short putter due to a physical complaint, and a vocal opponent to the ban, Clark isn’t going to let this stop him from playing on the PGA Tour.

Jason Day won the Barclays in an absolute procession, his 19 under par score was six shots better than second placed Henrik Stenson. The Australian golfer has continued his form from the PGA Championship and was in a different league to the rest of the field as he took his fourth title of the season.

Given the length and par combination, it doesn’t take much of a genius to work out there are some long par 4’s round the South Course at Firestone, and length off the tee is certainly important. That said, when scrolling through the database, the archives actually point to more of a rounded stats player as well as the good old “bomber” type.
