Historic win for Ortiz at Houston Open

Carlos Ortiz held off Dustin Johnson and a charging Hideki Matsuyama to win the Vivint Houston Open and become the first Mexican to win on the PGA Tour since Victor Regalado in 1978 at the Quad Cities Open. "It feels awesome," said Ortiz, "This is like my second home. There was a bunch of people cheering for me, Latinos and Texans. I'm thankful for all of them."

R&A Need to make a decision

As the various tours are losing millions each week in TV and sponsorship income and the Coronavirus trundles on the R&A continues to put out woolly statements about continuing to look at the options. Given the likely time frames for the lifting of social distancing and the issues over international travel, the R&A must postpone.

Jason Kokrak captures the CJ Cup

Jason Kokrak of America finally broke his PGA Tour duck on Sunday when he won the CJ Cup in his tenth year on the circuit. The 35-year-old closed with a flawless eight-under-par 64 over the  Shadow Creek course in Las Vegas to win by two shots from fellow American Xander Schauffele. "Couldn't be happier," said Kokrak. "It was a good fight," Schauffele said.
