Poults chips in on big hitting debate

Matthew Fitzpatrick gave his thoughts on the long hitting debate and the length of Bryson DeChambeau in particular but Ian Poulter has come up with a possible solution. According to the Ryder Cup star, the answer may well be in putting restrictions on the length of the driver whilst at the same time stipulating a minimum loft for the big dog.

Laird and Cantlay lead in Las Vegas

Bryson Dechambeau cam down to earth with a slight bump in the third round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Level par rounds are no good in a tournament where the leaders are averaging rounds of better than six under par! Round of the day came from U.S. Open runner-up Matthew Wolff who had an incredible run of three eagles in a five hole spell on the back nine of his round of 61.

DeChambeau on top once again

Bryson DeChambeau is a man in form and his confidence is at an all-time high. The nine-under-par opening round in Las Vegas is the lowest opening round of DeChambeau's PGA Tour career and he leads by one at TPC Summerlin. It was a battle of the big hitters as DeChambeau was partnered with Cameron Champ and Matthew Wolff who he saw off in the final round of the U.S. Open.

Historic Welsh course to be given over to sea defences

Rhyl Golf Club which is located on the North Wales coast and was designed in 1890 by the world-famous James Braid is in danger of being forced to close. John Daly shock cancer diagnosis

Two-time major champion and ultimate GolfPunk John Daly has revealed his diagnosis with bladder cancer. The big man underwent surgery after the tumour showed up during a routine check-up for kidney stones. Although the cancer was removed there is sadly a high chance of it returning and so Daly will be under constant medical supervision for the coming year. . We wish the big man well!

Joe Long savoured success at Royal Birkdale to win The 125th Amateur Championship. The Englishman showed composure over the renowned links in Southport to defeat fellow Englishman and good friend Joe Harvey, 23, in an exciting 36-hole final. Long recorded a 4&3 victory, to become the first Englishman since Harry Ellis in 2017 to win The Amateur Championship.
