Henrick Stenson and Sergio Garcia may both be major champions, but both are going to have to rely on wildcard picks from Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn if they are going to make it to Le Golf National this September.
In a thrilling final round it all came down the 18th, as Rose and Stenson fought it out toe to toe. A beautiful shot into the green from Rose sent the ball within a couple of feet of the hole. Stenson bogeyed and Rose won by 2.
It's day two at the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried, and there is now a two–way tie at the top of the leaderboard, whilst Sergio and Henrik are knocking on the door.
It didn’t rain (that much) today, and the crowds came out in their droves. Who says the young guns aren’t already making a difference? They came to see Jordan, and he did not disappoint. In the end he won comfortably with a two under 69 to beat Henrik Stenson by four shots.
Everyone loves Beef Johnson, what’s not to like? He is a lovely chap and is nice to everyone both on and off the course and boy can he play golf. That’s why it was sad to see Beef’s loss of form and subsequently learn that this great bloke from London was struggling mentally. In this, Men’s Mental Health Month, we really enjoyed watching the video of Beef and Tubes, the Soccer AM presenter, playing a few holes and chatting about mental health and other stuff.
Bryson DeChambeau, with his one-length Cobra irons, joined Henrik Stenson at the top of the leaderboard at Bay Hill while Tiger trod water and Rory showed he is beginning to tread lightly in the right direction.
