Sam Burns earned his maiden win on the PGA Tour at his seventy-sixth attempt at the Valspar Championship in Tampa. The American closed with a final-round three-under 68 to finish on seventeen-under-par, three shots clear of countryman Keegan Bradley.

After a second-straight 65 at the CME Group Tour Championship, Celine Boutier took a four-stroke lead in Naples at fourteen-under. Her 130 becomes a career and tournament-best 36-hole score, as she holds the second-round lead for only the second time in her career. It’s the fourth time in 24 starts this season that Boutier has opened up with two straight rounds in the 60s.

At the AT&T Pro AM at Pebble Beach I suggested taking a punt on Phil Mickelson...I was pretty close. Now the PGA Tour heads to the Northern Trust Open. Rory McIlroy is in the field and so is golf’s other iconic lefty, Bubba Watson. Should be a great week.

Niall Kearney birdied three of his last four holes to edge into a one shot lead after day one of the 2021 Dutch Open.
