Georgia Hall finally wins on Rose Ladies Series

Gabriella Cowley edges fifth Rose Series event

Despite dropping three shots in her last three holes, Gabriella Cowley held on to win the fifth Rose Ladies Series event at the JCB Golf and Country Club. She carded an excellent two-under-par round of 70 to win by one shot from a group on one-under that included Charley Hull and Georgia Hall.  Cowley, who has performed well throughout the Series, was delighted with her win. 5. Charley Hull wins first Rose Ladies Series event

Charley Hull crushed local girl and event organiser Liz Young’s dreams of a home course victory when she holed a 15-foot birdie putt at the first extra. Sadly there were no spectators at Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club in the New Forest to witness the exciting climax to the first Rose Ladies Series event.

European Tour to resume

It's the news we have all been waiting for this side of the pond. European Tour golf is to return with the first tournament in a six week 'UK Swing' kicking off with the Betfred British Masters hosted by Lee Westwood, which will take place between 22nd and 25th July – a week earlier than originally scheduled. Dates have also been announced for four Rolex Series events including the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open.

Beef’s Foooore Hole Challenge

Everyone loves Beef Johnson, what’s not to like? He is a lovely chap and is nice to everyone both on and off the course and boy can he play golf. That’s why it was sad to see Beef’s loss of form and subsequently learn that this great bloke from London was struggling mentally. In this, Men’s Mental Health Month, we really enjoyed watching the video of Beef and Tubes, the Soccer AM presenter, playing a few holes and chatting about mental health and other stuff.

Casey takes European Open

Paul Casey has moves up to 14th in the world following his victory at the European Open in Hamburg. The Englishman shot a bogey free 66 that took him to 14 under and squeezed out Scotland’s Robert Macintyre, Austria’s Matthias Schwab and home hope Bernd Ritthammer by one-stroke.
