Celine Boutier is the 2021 Lacoste Ladies Open de France champion after securing victory in the most dramatic of fashions at Golf Club du Medoc. The two-time Solheim Cup winner kept her nerve on a frantic final day in Bordeaux, before sinking a fantastic birdie putt on the last to take victory by a single shot ahead of Scotland’s Kylie Henry.
It’s a French one-two after day one of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, with Agathe Laisne and Anais Meyssonnier shooting rounds of 66 (-5) on Thursday to share the lead at Golf Club du Medoc.
Sweden’s Julia Engstrom produced a final round 72 (+1) to win her second LET title of the season, with a narrow one-shot victory from home favourite Celine Herbin and Argentinian Magdalena Simmermacher at the 2020 Lacoste Ladies Open De France.

Gladys Nocera fires opening round 65, Charley Hull shots 68, Amy Boulden 69 and Carly Booth a +1 71. Projected cut for round 2 is +2. Not good news for Solheim hero Cristie Kerr who carded a +4 74 and has work to do to make the weekend.

Sweden’s Julia Engstrom had a day to remember at the 2020 Lacoste Ladies Open De France, carding a hole-in-one en route to a second round 64 (-7) to top the leaderboard heading into tomorrow’s final round. Capitalising on the ace, Engstrom continued to go flag hunting at Golf Medoc’ Chateaux Course, immediately following up with a tap-in birdie at the 9th hole.
After a summer full of memories to last a lifetime, Celine Boutier is looking to cap it all off with another strong performance at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France this week. The Parisian is competing at Golf Club du Medoc in her first event since helping Team Europe retain the Solheim Cup in Toledo, Ohio earlier this month, in what was a momentous occasion for her and her teammates.
