27 year old Welwyn Garden based Hannah Burke has won her maiden victory on the L.E.T with a final round of 64 to pip Nicole Broch Larsne from Sweden to the post by 2 shots at the Tipsport Czech Open.
16–year–old Noah Goodwin from Corinth Texas has shot a 59, breaking the course record from the tips at Oakmont Country Club.
Three-time major winner Jordan Spieth put the disappointment at Augusta behind him to beat Patrick Cantlay in a playoff to win the RBC Heritage title at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Laurie Canter followed up his incredible first round of 60 at the Italian Open with a four-under-par 68 to take a two shot lead going into the weekend at Chervò Golf Club. 38-year-old McGowan carded a bogey-free round of 64 to keep Canter in his sights as he bids to lift a European Tour trophy for the first time since the 2009 Madrid Masters.
Remember when Europeans dominated the Masters? From 1980 to 2000, the tournament was won 11 times by European golfers. Since then, not so much, with only two winners in the last 18 years. It's worth noting, however, that those wins (Danny Willett and Sergio Garcia) make up two of the last three Masters. Maybe the transition of power at Augusta has already begun?
