Cam Davis wins the Rocket Mortgage Classic

Australian Cam Davis holed from the greenside bunker for eagle at the penultimate hole and then birdied the last to force his way into a three-way playoff in which he prevailed to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic and his first PGA Tour victory. “It’s the only reason I’m sitting here now,” Davis said afterwards. “To be honest, in my head, there wasn’t a thought of trying to hole it.”

Harris English beat fellow American Kramer Hickok at the eight-hole of a marathon playoff to win the Travelers Championship. After trading pars for seven holes, English finally broke the deadlock when he holed a twenty-foot putt at the 18th hole on the sixth time of asking in the playoff.

Iturrioz grabs lead at Tipsport Czech Ladies Open

Spain’s Nuria Iturrioz carded a bogey-free round of 68 to give her the solo lead on day two of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open. Play got underway as planned at 7.45am at Beroun Golf Club with a few groups completing their first round before heading out to their second. Iturrioz was one of the lucky players who managed to finish her first round before play got suspended due to darkness.
