Alexander Levy underlined his ambition to be the first repeat winner of the Volvo China Open with a blistering opening nine–under–par 63 at the Topwin Golf and Country Club in Huairou, Beijing.
OK, we did get a bit carried away on Twitter posting Al Geiberger's 59 at Colonial in 1977, but Jason Day was so blazing it up today that we got more than slightly over excited. We have now calmed down a bit, but not by much.
Amanda Doherty continued her impressive form at the ISPS Handa World Invitational presented by Aviv Clinics firing a round of 67 (-5) to lead by one shot at the midway mark. After a first round of six-under at Galgorm Castle, the 24-year-old followed it up with a round of five-under at Massereene.

Nicole Broch Estrup fired a sensational round of 66 (-7) on day two of the Joburg Ladies Open at Modderfontein Golf Club. The Danish star produced a flawless performance with seven birdies on her scorecard for a round of seven-under and to have a total of eight-under-par heading into the weekend.
France's Mike Lorenzo-Vera is riding high at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai but all eyes are on the battle for the Race to Dubai. After round two Tommy Fleetwood (69) and Jon Rahm (68) were sitting in joint second three shots behind the leader but Race to Dubai leader, Bernd Wiesberger, was a further six shots back in a tie for thirteenth.
Many golfers would be satisfied with a single hole in one in their career, just one moment when all of the complicated golf swing came together in harmony and that little white ball disappeared after just one shot, but could you imagine a dream round where you got not one, not two, but three aces!
It was a race to beat the dark on a marathon moving day. Jin Young Ko completed her second round on Saturday morning, then turned around for a 3:42 p.m. CT third-round grouping at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas. Thirty-one holes later and the seven-time LPGA Tour winner is the Volunteers of America Classic 54-hole leader by one stroke at 14-under par overall.
