Christiaan Bezuidenhout cruised to victory at the South African Open to complete a double having won last week at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. The South African closed with a three-under-par for an eighteen under total and a five-shot victory from Jamie Donaldson of Wales. "It's a South African golfer's dream to win a national tournament. It's unreal," said Bezuidenhout.

The 2020 AIG Women’s Open champion set a career-low opening-round of 64 at Pelican Golf Club this afternoon and holds a two-stroke advantage in the inaugural Pelican Women’s Championship presented by DEX Imaging and Konica Minolta. Thompson ultimately shot an even-par 70 on the day and is tied for 22nd.

Denmark’s Joachim B. Hansen posted a final round of 68 to claim the Aviv Dubai Championship by one shot from Ryder Cup player Bernd Wiesberger and Italy’s Francesco Laporta. Hansen dropped only a single shot in 72 holes over the Fire Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates - a bogey five on the 15th in his third round – as he claimed his second European Tour title to add to his 2020 Joburg Open triumph.

There was lots of concern that the new format of the Tour Championship was going to result in the FedEx Cup leader running away with things and there being a lack of drama at East Lake Golf Club over the last big weekend for the PGA Tour. Well things didn’t really work out like that as Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka all start day two tied on 10 under with Rory just one behind.
