Richard Bland returned to European Tour action for the first time in over three weeks and picked up from where he left off as the Englishman took the first round lead in the Cazoo Classic at London Golf Club.
The skies lightened up for the first day of the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open, with the sun shining down on the homeland’s own Michele Thomson. Thomson walked away with the 18-hole lead after recording a 7-under 65, a season-best for her on the Ladies European Tour.

Castren then rolled in back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17 to post a round of 69 and leave her two-under-par for the tournament with one day left.
Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom fired a round of 66 to lead the Gant Ladies Open by two strokes on the first day at Aura Golf. Wikstrom, who is currently 12th in the 2021 Race to Costa del Sol, carded a round of five-under-par which included seven birdies and two bogeys to lead.
