The Masters Par 3 Contest

It was hole in one central last night

There were nine hole in ones last night at the Masters Par 3 Contest. Nine! A new record, the previous high was just 5. From 80 year old legend Gary Player, playing with Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson, to back to back aces from Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas, they're all here.

The players set records today. Watch all nine holes-in-one, including one by Jimmy Walker, who won the Par 3 Contest with a record-setting score of 8-under-par 19.

You've got to feel sorry for Jordan Spieth. Well as sorry as you can for a multi millionaire, 22 year old, reigning Masters champion. After watching Justin Roberts, and then Rickie Fowler hole out consecutive aces, Jordan got booed when he didn't match the feat.

“It might’ve been the hardest shot I ever had to hit, trying to follow them."

Fowler piped up “You know, after two hole-in-ones, you got to man up and hit the shot. Just couldn’t do it.”

Bit harsh.

Justin Roberts put it best though. “It was awesome. I don't know if it's ever been done, back‑to‑back shots like that.  But to play with two good buddies and make a hole‑in‑one and to have my mom on the bag in my first Masters, it's a bucket list kind of thing."

Here's the full honour roll.
