It only seems like yesterday that we were cheering Lefty as he stormed to victory at the US PGA Championship and here we are on the eve of the next Major. This is only the second time Torrey Pines has hosted the U.S. Open and as ever, picking a winner is as tricky.
It was a relative surprise when Hideki Matsuyama picked up his first major title at The Masters and it is no easy task picking the winner of the PGA Championship this week. Kiawah Island throws up many challenges to the best in the world, especially if the wind starts blowing.
Golf depends on the weather. The winter months bring on the “Shall I, shan’t I” feeling. It’s rarely too hot to play a round but in the winter months, the wind, rain and snow can put us off playing.
