Dustin Johnson will tee up in his first competitive event since his dominant performance at Augusta in November at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii this week. The world number one will start as a favourite for the event with a strong field including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas.
Jon Rahm was sitting pretty in the clubhouse looking set to take the BMW Championship after a sparkling final round 64 when Dustin Johnson decided to spoil the party. The World number who had started the day in the joint lead and three clear of Rahm holed an unlikely forty five foot putt at the last to force a playoff.
The Players' Championship in Florida is cancelled and no further tournaments will be played up until the Valero Texas Open. The announcement came from Tour saying it was " the right thing to do for our players and our fans is to pause."
There were lots of hugs and high fives as Team USA fought back from a 10-8 deficit to win the Presidents Cup, once again, by a score of 16-14. That huge smile we saw after Wood’s victory at Augusta was back and the there was obvious emotion in the US Captain’s voice when talking after his team’s victory.
