Harris English defeated Chile's Joaquin Niemann at the first playoff hole to win his first PGA title for eight years. Harris's holed his six-foot birdie putt to see off Niemann and pick up the $1.34 million winner's cheque and the Sentry Tournament of Champions title.
England's Matt Wallace carded eight birdies in a six-under-par 64 to grab a share of the lead at The RSM Classic alongside Colombian Camilo Villegas. The big-hitting man from California won by three shots from overnight leader Matthew Wolf. “I've shown people that there's another way to do it."

Thomas Pieters leads the Omega Dubai Desert Classic after an impressive opening round of 67 on the tough Emirates Golf Club course. The Belgian leads by one shot from David Lipsky of the USA with a gaggle of twelve players, which includes Englishman Eddie Pepperell, Robert Karlsson of Sweden and Dane Søren Kjeldsen, a further shot back.
A year after finishing tied for second in the Hero Women’s Indian Open, Christine Wolf enjoyed a much happier experience at DLF Golf and Country Club as she claimed her first Ladies European Tour title. The 30-year-old Austrian, who had led by three going into the 18th hole 12 months ago before a nightmare double-bogey wrecked her chances, was able to take care of unfinished business.
