Oosthuizen who started the day with a two shot advantage was joined in the lead late on by both Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa but a birdie at the 17th saw him grab a slender heading into Sunday.
Harris English beat fellow American Kramer Hickok at the eight-hole of a marathon playoff to win the Travelers Championship. After trading pars for seven holes, English finally broke the deadlock when he holed a twenty-foot putt at the 18th hole on the sixth time of asking in the playoff.
Garrick Higgo was the beneficiary of a sad collapse by Chesson Hadley to win the Palmetto Championship at Congaree by one stroke and claim his maiden PGA Tour title at just his second outing. The 22-year-old Higgo finished at eleven-under 273 at Congaree Golf Club, Ridgeland, South Carolina, to win by a single shot from a group of six players on ten-under.
The inaugural Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play Hosted by Shadow Creek is down to four players, vying for the LPGA Tour’s first match-play title since 2017. Romain Langasque stormed to victory at the ISPS Handa Wales Open, overturning a five-stroke deficit to win his first European Tour title. The Frenchman started the final day at The Celtic Manor Resort in a share of sixth, five shots behind 54-hole co-leaders Sebastian Soderberg and Connor Syme, but the deficit was cut to just one stroke after his second birdie of the day on the sixth hole.
