Oosthuizen who started the day with a two shot advantage was joined in the lead late on by both Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa but a birdie at the 17th saw him grab a slender heading into Sunday.

Harris English beat fellow American Kramer Hickok at the eight-hole of a marathon playoff to win the Travelers Championship. After trading pars for seven holes, English finally broke the deadlock when he holed a twenty-foot putt at the 18th hole on the sixth time of asking in the playoff.

Garrick Higgo was the beneficiary of a sad collapse by Chesson Hadley to win the Palmetto Championship at Congaree by one stroke and claim his maiden PGA Tour title at just his second outing. The 22-year-old Higgo finished at eleven-under 273 at Congaree Golf Club, Ridgeland, South Carolina, to win by a single shot from a group of six players on ten-under.

The inaugural Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play Hosted by Shadow Creek is down to four players, vying for the LPGA Tour’s first match-play title since 2017. American Ally Ewing will take on Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn in Sunday’s first semifinal match, while China’s Shanshan Feng, who won her quarterfinal match with a 50-foot birdie on the first playoff hole, will face off with Germany’s Sophia Popov.

Englishman David Horsey fired seven birdies on his back nine for bogey free round of 61 to take a one shot lead in the opening round of the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers. The four-time European Tour winner came home in just 28 shots to add to earlier birdies on the fifth and sixth holes, setting the early pace on nine under par at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.

Scotland's Martin Laird held his nerve in a three-man playoff at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open to grab his first PGA Tour victory for over seven years. A birdie at the second extra hole saw off the challenge of Americans Austin Cook and Matthew Wolff earning Laird the $1.26m winner's cheque. Level par rounds are no good in a tournament where the leaders are averaging rounds of better than six under par! Round of the day came from U.S. Open runner-up Matthew Wolff who had an incredible run of three eagles in a five hole spell on the back nine of his round of 61.

Romain Langasque stormed to victory at the ISPS Handa Wales Open, overturning a five-stroke deficit to win his first European Tour title. The Frenchman started the final day at The Celtic Manor Resort in a share of sixth, five shots behind 54-hole co-leaders Sebastian Soderberg and Connor Syme, but the deficit was cut to just one stroke after his second birdie of the day on the sixth hole.
