Stars of the Ladies European Tour are ready to make golfing history this week as they play in Saudi Arabia’s first ever professional female tournaments, taking place in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). Held within a safe bio-secure environment, 108 of the tour’s best golfers are in the Kingdom competing for a total $1.5million prize-fund for the landmark Ladies European Tour events.
Robert MacIntyre claimed an emotional maiden European Tour title at the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown, where a seven under final round 64 earned the Scot a one-stroke victory in a thrilling shoot-out finale. "When the rain delay came in there, I said to my caddie Mike, it’s time to show up. I hit a great iron shot into 15 and there it was. It turned up right at the right time."
Another day of high drama at the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown ended with 19 players progressing to the final-day shoot-out in Cyprus, where Johannes Veerman and Matthew Jordan signed for the lowest rounds of the day while Gavin Green was among those players to produce an eleventh-hour salvo to make it through to Sunday.
Australia’s Minjee Lee captured her first LET title at the OMEGA Dubai Moonlight Classic with a clutch birdie putt from twenty feet at the first extra hole to beat France’s Celine Boutier in a thrilling shoot-out under the Middle Eastern moonlight. In unprecedented times, we have one more men’s golf major to look forward to this year. The Masters at Augusta is scheduled in November for the first time, after the cancellation earlier in the year. It has thrown the plans of golfers into the air, but we have seen events running every week for some time now, so there can be no claims of rustiness or a lack of practice.

Ally McDonald shot a four-under-par 68 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead into the weekend in the LPGA Drive On Championship at Lake - Reynolds Oconee. Danielle Kang sits in second alongside Bianca Pagdanganan of the Philippines on nine-under-par.
