Tommy Fleetwood gate crashes post round interview

And then shoots a 63 on moving day at the Italian Open

Tommy Fleetwood gate crashed Sergio Garcia’s and Jon Rahm’s post round interview on Friday at the Italian Open, and did it in some style.

Tommy Fleetwood is currently leading the Race to Dubai, and was battling to make the cut after a level par 71 on Thursday, but made it through to the weekend with a second day five under 66, which included four birdies in a six hole stretch. With another birdie on his back nine, and no dropped shots, Tommy charged up the leaderboard.

So he was probably feeling more than a little relieved when he decided to gate crash Sergio Garcia’s and Jon Rahm’s post round interview.

And that great form has continued on Day three, as he shot a 63, which included three pars and an eagle on his front nine to make the turn in 31.

He dropped a single shot on the par three 12th, before reeling off another four birdies in five holes to come back in 32 and post a very impressive 63.

Tommy’s now in fourth place, two shots behind the leader Matt Wallace, and one shot behind Tyrrell Hatton and George Coetzee. But the leaders are still out on the course.

Meanwhile Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm are back on eight under and nine under respectively.
