R&A sign new media deal with Man CityAs we reported last week, the R&A signed a media deal with Everton for The Open Championship ahead of the golf tournament’s return to Royal Birkdale in Merseyside this summer. And now it's Man City’s turn.

The deal will see the club’s players create content with some of the European Tour’s top players to inject additional interest into the 2017 Open.

Like Everton fans, City fans will receive a cap with The Open’s branding if they book tickets using the Manchester City promotional code when booking, and the club will create exclusive digital content in the build­–up to the event.

The deal will also see the Claret Jug making its way to Man City’s club shop, and it will be on display during the club’s hospitality golfing days.

With Pep Guardiola being a great golf fan, we think this is a good fit, and amen to golf getting football supporters properly on board.
