Golf caddie murderer arrested

After 20 years on the run

The man wanted for the murder of a fellow caddie at a golf club in Pelham nearly 20 years ago was returned to Westchester County in handcuffs Friday night, according to the Westchester Journal News.

Michael "Gifton" Cousins has been on the run for over twenty years, after the murder of fellow caddie Jason Campbell in 1996.

Cousins has been on the most wanted criminals list for both Westchester and Toronto, and he’s also featured on the US TV show ‘Most wanted.’

He was finally arrested in Jamaica last month, and bought back for trial by the FBI.

The murder was committed in a fight outside the Pro Shop at Pelham Country Club, with Cousins stabbing Campbell.

So twenty years on justice may finally be done.
