Ernie Els tells Trump detractors to

Steady lad...

Ernie Els played golf with President Trumper and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Trumper's Mar–A–Lago Club.

Ernie told Brian Costa of The Wall Street Jornal that he took a lot of stick from friends and followers who were not fans of the Trumper.

“A lot of my own friends were not for him,” Els said. “They kind of needled me a little bit, saying I was a suck-–up. I just said, ‘Go eff yourself. I played with the president and you haven’t.’ You can’t please everybody.”

Els told the Golf Channel that he was asked to play with El Presidente by David Trout, the director of golf at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida and said, “Of course.”

“Bang, there goes my hair again,” Els said as he glanced down at his arm and saw a touch of what we know at GolfPunk Towers as 'Afro–Arms', a conditon suffered by our very own Golf Brigadier. Basically, when a startling or great idea or piece of news surfaces, the hairs on The Brigadier's arms go berserk, forming an affro effect.

The Brigadier yesterday. Despite appearances, he's actually very excited. Just not about Trump...

“Of course I would [play], what kind of question is that? I would play with him even if I was half dead.”

“It was one of the most special groups of people I’ve been around. I played with the queen of Malaysia, I’ve played with other presidents, but this is the most powerful guy in the whole world and to see him in his full security detail, it’s impressive,” said Els. “But to play with him as President puts him in another atmosphere.”

Trumper has now played with Tiger and Ernie and he's only been in office for three weeks. So who's next? Jordan? Rory? Someone's going to get the invite. It will be fun seeing who can or cannot resist the intoxicant of power.
