Dustin Johnson takes control in Hawaii

With seven under 66 on moving day

Dustin Johnson gave everyone a polite reminder as to why he is the World No one when he shot a seven-under 66 to take a two shot lead into the final day of the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

Dustin Johnson gave everyone a polite reminder as to why he is the World No one when he shot a seven-under 66 to take a two shot lead into the final day of the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

In an otherwise perfect round, Johnson had a single bogey on the par 3 11th, but that did not deter him and he immediately bounced back with an eagle on the 12th, which he bagged by holing out from 65 yards.

Fellow American Brian Harman was leading at the turn thanks to a tap in eagle on the 5th, which he almost holed out with his second shot for what would have been a miraculous albatross.

However, with back-to-back bogeys on the back nine, he briefly lost his momentum, only to recover with birdies on the 14th and 15th. He is now two shots behind DJ.

Two shots behind Harman is Jon Rahm, who matched DJ’s 66, and made up five shots in his last five holes!

Rickie Fowler’s not out of it yet, and is T4 with Jason Dufner, having carded a 69 to go to 11 under for the tournament.

But it was not overnight leader Marc Leishman’s day, as he carded a 76 with four bogeys and just a single birdie , to slip down to 12th.
