Donald Trumped Yet Again

Billionaire loses in Scottish High Cout

Despite it's ownership, this course does look awesome.

The Donald has been Trumped again, this time by the Scottish legal system. In a week where his name has gone up and down like a yoyo on middle eastern billboards, this time he has lost a case against a wind farm being built off the cost of Aberdeenshire in view of his Trump International Golf Links.

Trump's legal team argued unsuccessfully that the turbines are a “dangerous experiment with wind energy”. The US Presidential hopeful has been fighting in court with Vattenfall and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group. They have wanted to construct a wind farm with the capacity to provide electricity for almost 70,000 homes since 2013.

Altogether now, Bom, bom bom, ladida.

The most amusing part of this is the official Trump statement. The billionaire and his goons have definitely thrown the toys out of the pram:
"This is an extremely unfortunate verdict for the residents of Aberdeen and anyone who cares about Scotland's economic future. The [wind farm] will completely destroy the bucolic Aberdeen Bay and cast a terrible shadow upon the future of tourism for the area.
"History will judge those involved unfavourably and the outcome demonstrates the foolish, small-minded and parochial mentality which dominates the current Scottish Government's dangerous experiment with wind energy."
"We will evaluate the court's decision and continue to fight this proposal on every possible front."

He lost two earlier battles in Scottish courts to block them and had threatened to abandon plans to develop the resort if the wind farm was built. This time five Supreme Court judges unanimously ruled against Mr Trump’s argument that the turbines are a “dangerous experiment with wind energy”.

The course had been a source of contention for years, with environmental concerns about its affect on the the local wilderness and its affects on flora and fauna in the area.
