GolfPunk's Tips For the Week

Selections for The Wells Fargo and China Open

The resident GolfPunk Tipster, Nick Fleming, picked 2nd place Julian Suri at last week’s event in Morocco. We are hoping he will go one better this week with his selections for the Wells Fargo Championship from Quail Hollow, Charlotte, North Carolina and the China Open. Both events will be on Sky and look to provide some good entertainment.

Wells Fargo Championship

You will need to get your bets on by midday tomorrow for the Wells Fargo. The Quail Hollow club is one that suits accuracy rather than power. Webb Simpson is our pick of the bunch at 24/1 but Trey Mullinax , who has been there or thereabouts in the last 3 PGA events looks attractive value at 139/1.

All prices as per the Betfair Exchange and at the time of going to press.

To Win (1 point on each)

Webb Simpson 24/1

Paul Casey 33/1

Jason Kokrak 47/1

Sung -Jae Im 74/1

Each-Way Value (½ pt on each)

Luke List 94/1

Joel Dahmen 119/1

Aron Wise 55/1

Trey Mullinax  139/1

China Open

You’ll need to get a jig on for this one as they tee off just after midnight UK time tonight. The Genzon Golf Club in Shenzhen is a course that is suited to the power hitters and it is going to be hot and dry. Last week’s winner Jorge Campillo looks reasonable value for a man in form and Gavin Green is a player who may just upset the odds and is worth an each-way punt.

All prices as per the Betfair Exchange and at the time of going to press.

To Win (1 point on each)

Jorge Campillo, 22/1

Thomas Detry, 28/1

Jordan Smith, 30/1

Nacho Elviro, 33/1

Each-Way Value (½ pt on each)

Victor Dubuisson, 33/1

Sean Crocker, 37/1

Min Woo Lee, 66/1

Gavin Green, 99/1
