Cobra King Forged Tec Irons

Forgiving, forged, and long

£699

Cobra have launched the King Forged Tec Iron this year, and it's unlike anything the brand have released before. With it forged body, and multi material design, it's forgiving, feels great, and it's forged but with loads of science built in.

How does it work then? The Cobra engineers have designed the Forged Tec iron to have a centre off gravity directly in the middle of the clubface, so that you have more control over every shot. How have they done this?Strategically placed tungsten inserts are co-forged in to the the heel and toe of the club to help increase the MOI for forgiveness and to position the Center of Gravity directly behind the impact zone.

Then they've used a forged high strength steel face insert that is thinner, lighter and hotter delivering more distance across the face. The saved weight from this J15 face is moved lower and deeper in the head for longer, higher flying straighter shots. Combine this with an engineered TPU insert positioned directly behind the sweetspot, and these irons provides a solid feel at impact, and vibration dampening on miss hits.

Now we've got a sneaky suspicion that these have been designed with Lexi Thomson in mind, she's still using a a very old model from Cobra, that don't have the tech these do. These King Tec Forged look great, go like stink, and are lower priced than some similar models from their competitors. Check out the video below for more thoughts on these cracking irons.
