Souillac late summer deals

Put golfers in a Ryder Cup mood

France will host the biggest team competition in golf at the end of next month, and Souillac Golf & Country Club is getting into the Ryder Cup spirit by offering savings of nearly 40 per cent on half-board golf breaks over the next two months.

Europe and the United States will face each other in Paris from September 28-30 and golfers can watch all the action unfold at Souillac – with prices starting from only €209 (approx £185) per person for a three-night, two-round half-board stay.

Available from August 25 until October 31, the eye-catching packages – which are based on two or four people sharing – are available on a three, five and seven-night basis, with all of them featuring golf on the resort’s 18-hole course, regarded as one of the best in France’s famous Dordogne region.

Accommodation is included in one of the Souillac’s spacious and well-equipped two, three and four-bedroom lodges, located in nine hamlets with each benefitting from its own swimming pool, with dinner provided in its charming bar and brasserie ‘Restaurant du Golf’ .

Away from the fairways, guests can enjoy complimentary access to the venue’s wide variety of other sports and leisure facilities including a driving range, nine swimming pools, tennis, table tennis, boules and a children’s play area.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne Valley in 60 hectares of magnificent countryside, Souillac Golf & Country Club is the perfect destination to combine a relaxing golfing break with the opportunity to discover the many historic, cultural and gastronomic delights of the region.

As well as golf, hiking, kayaking, climbing, mountain-biking and horse-riding are just some of the activities that can be enjoyed nearby, while the resort provides the gateway for visitors to discover some of the Dordogne Valley’s other delights including UNESCO World Heritage sites, pre-historic caves, medieval chateaux and its world-famous foie gras, cheeses and wines.

And getting to Souillac couldn’t be easier with direct flights from the UK to five airports – including Brive, just a 15-minute drive away – as well as being easily accessed by the motorway straight from Calais.
