England's Lee Westwood rolled back the years to take the halfway lead at TPC Sawgrass following a flawless six-under round of 66. It will be the third time Westwood has led the field going into the weekend at The Players Championship, the prior occasions being when he was a much younger man.

Two-time major champion Anna Nordqvist finds herself tied for the lead along with Americans Jessica Korda and Yealimi Noh at four-under-par. Starting the day with a birdie on the 1st hole, the Swede carded three more birdies in her round until an unfortunate bogey on the last cost her the solo lead. "I think I made four in a row on making the turn too," said Noh of her birdie opportunities.
Callum Shinkwin defeated Kalle Samooja in a play-off to win his first European Tour title after a dramatic final day at the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Open. The Englishman was two shots behind the Finn as he stood on the17th tee in regulation and while a birdie there edged him closer, his chances of victory looked slim when he found rough off the tee at the par five last.

Jason Kokrak of America finally broke his PGA Tour duck on Sunday when he won the CJ Cup in his tenth year on the circuit. The 35-year-old closed with a flawless eight-under-par 64 over the Shadow Creek course in Las Vegas to win by two shots from fellow American Xander Schauffele. "Couldn't be happier," said Kokrak. "It was a good fight," Schauffele said.
