The leading group going into the weekend in Hong Kong saw a David and Goliath type match up. The Dane, Bjerregaard took the money with a 63, one shot better than Englishman Rose. They both go into the final day of the final full field tournament of the 2015 European Tour schedule, sharing the lead at 14-under.
Andy Sullivan got over the line by some distance to claim his third European Tour title this season – the Portugal Masters. He adds this to the Joburg and the South African Open. His five shot lead coming into the final day proved to be too much for anyone, and he went on to extend his lead to nine shots by shooting a 66.
Swingin’ Siren Lexi Thompson got the job done, winning the LPGA’s Hana Bank Championship in South Korea. Still only 20, it’s Lexi’s sixth win on tour, and second this season, she’s really pushed on since her GolfPunk photoshoot.
It was all Andy Sullivan again today as he added a solid 67 to his opening two rounds of 64, 64. He is now sitting very comfortably on a five shot lead, and is in pole position to win his third European Tour title this season.
