A welcome return to one of the worlds great golf courses, it’s been slightly redesigned by widening the fairways but it’s still a monster with the prospect for lightning fast greens. Immense skill required to even contend on this great course so I expect the top players to monopolise !!!

The European event this week is the Belgium knockout hosted by Thomas Pieter's and his wife, it's too much of a novelty event to get involved with, so we concentrate on the Byron Nelson in the USA.

Most bookmakers paying out each way on top 10 including Betfair exchange. If you have a few accounts shop around. This week I am advising each way top 10 with a few more selections than normal.

Great stuff from Rory McIlroy at last weekend's Arnold Palmer Invitational, he must have a great chance at this week's match play event, as has last year's winner Dustin Johnson. But we will try and look outside the two hot Favourites. This week's other event is low key, so we concentrate on the Dell Match play.

So far in 2018, our Spiv has walked away with the cash thanks to Pat Perez at the Tournament of Champions and Tommy Fleetwood’s awesome win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Now he aims for a hat-trick as he takes on the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
It’s the event where all the big boys turn up. Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose head the pack as the favourites to lift the title in Abu Dhabi. Johnson has certainly started 2018 well with victory at the Tournament of Champions. For the others, it is the first one of the season.
