Best shots from the dell WGC at Dustin johnson crashes out

And it's Spieth v Reed for a place at the weekend!!

World number one Dustin Johnson is out of the World Golf Championships with a game to play after a second straight defeat in Austin, Texas.

DJ won this last year but he followed his first-day defeat to Bernd Wiesberger with a 4&3 defeat by Canada's Adam Hadwin which means he can't qualify for the weekend's knockout stages.

Rory McIlroy kept alive his title hopes with a 2&1 win over Jhonattan Vegas, and Rory can still win the group if he beats Harman today, though that might have to come via a play-off with Peter Uihlein if he beats the already eliminated Vegas. All very complicated. Sort of.

European number one Tommy Fleetwood recovered from his opening day defeat by destroying Kevin Chappell 7&6, which kind of made up for his opening day 3&2 defeat at the hands of Ian Poulter. by the biggest winning margin of the week so far.

Fleetwood lost 3&2 to fellow Englishman Ian Poulter on day one, but on Thursday cruised to a 7&6 victory over American Chappell.

Poults followed up his opening day win with another and leads the group after beating Daniel Berger 2&1 to maintain his 100% record, but a three-man playoff is possible if Fleetwood beats Berger and Poulter loses to Chappell on Friday. See, told you it was complicated...

Matchplay makes people do the craziest things. Bubba hit an iron 366-yards! And there were shots flying in all over the place.

In group four, Ryder Cup partners Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed will go head-to-head on Friday to decide who progresses to the knockout stage.

On Thursday, Spieth beat China's Li Haotong 4&2 and Reed defeated former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel of South Africa one up.
