Leading the John Deere Classic this week, you know the tournament with all the tractors, is Wesley Bryan. You may not to have heard of him, it’s his first PGA Tour start as a member, having earned battlefield promotion from the web.com tour for three wins in a season. That's as staunch as it gets if you ask us. This kid can play. But until recently Bryan was best known as one half of the Bryan Bros, the top trick shot duo in the U.S.A.
Last July Bryan told his brother and his manager that he wanted to see if he was god enough to make it onto the PGA Tour. He finished ninth at web.com qualifying tournament. He finished seventh in his first web.com tournament, and he won his third tournament, the Chitimacha Louisiana Open. Since then he won again in Mexico, before getting a third win last week at the Digital Ally Open.
And Bryan has taken to the PGA Tour golf like a duck to water. ‘Hey, if I play my game and I play well that I can contend on the level,’” said Bryan. ”I've always heard that the gap from the Web.com Tour to the PGA TOUR is relatively narrow. Knowing that I can compete out there I guess gave me a little more confidence heading into the first couple PGA TOUR events I played in.”
The PGA Tour’s gain though is golf trick shots loss. Between him and his sometime caddy and full time brother George, these guys were two of the most inventive trick shot artists out there. Check out these shots...
