Tour Pro Chris Hanson

New ambassador for British Inclusive Golf

British Inclusive Golf have taken on European Tour professional Chris Hanson as their Ambassador.

BIG work with various disability groups in the North East and North West of the UK.

The basis of the charity is to help people with disabilities try golf in a safe and controlled environment.

These sessions help with mobility, concentration and inspire the majority with confidence to achieve something with their disability.

The charity are trying to help people who have, for some reason, had life changing experiences, an accident or never tried a sport.

BIG hold regular sessions throughout the year with groups.

Chris Hanson turned professional in 2006 and went on to win four times on the Europro Tour, three of these wins coming in 2011, which then led to him topping the OOM and graduating to the Challenge Tour for 2012.

Over the next four seasons on the Challenge Tour, Chris finished inside the top 10 seven times, and with a career high T3rd in the Aegean Airlines Challenge in Germany.

In 2015, Chris finished the season 42nd on the OOM after a strong end to the year and then went onto the European Tour Qualifying School gaining the last card for the 2016 Race to Dubai! Another highlight in Chris's career was in 2014 where he qualified for The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) after leading the qualifying event at Hillside GC.

We wish him every success in his new role.
