Top LPGA players get the laser treatment

Ahead of the HSBC Champions

The best golfers in the world may be renowned for their laser vision – but it’s never looked quite like this!

As part of its celebrations of ten years of HSBC Women’s Champions, the title sponsor invited five of the world’s top golfers to get their eye in by taking part in a spectacular laser show in downtown Singapore.

Taking the stage for a show inspired by the iconic laser show at Marina Bay were some of the biggest names in women’s golf including defending champion Ha Na Jang, World Number One Lydia Ko and US stars Lexi Thompson, Paula Creamer and Michelle Wie.

19 of the world’s top 20 players are lining up at Sentosa Golf Club this week, for the tournament that has earned the reputation of ‘Asia’s Major’.

This year HSBC Women’s Champions will see the same world class field in Singapore but the tournament presents a different test as it moves to the New Tanjong course.

It’s a challenge that 2016 winner Ha Na Jang is relishing: “Last year was a huge moment for me and it’s great to be here to defend my crown and celebrate ten years of the tournament in such spectacular style – I love the whole vibe of music and fun around this event. With such a strong field, there’s no doubt the golf can light up Singapore again this week.”
