Tiger in the drink!

Stuffs 3 balls in the water on sponsors day

Tiger Woods made an appearance supporting the PGA Tour's Quicken Loans National he hosts at Congressional, and whilst he did hit some shots, he looks further from making his comeback than before. Faced with a simple par 3 challenge Tiger did this, not once, not twice, but three times...

When asked about how his game is coming on he had this to say

"I used to practice eight-ten hours a day. That won't happen again. I won't be running 5, 6 miles a day like I used to." He continued "My practices are much more focused because they have to be. I have to be more committed on each and every shot because I can't go ahead and hit 500 golf balls in a row."

“Everything about my game is coming around. Now it’s just a matter of being consistent with it.  And then being able to do that not only at home against the boys at Medalist and trying to take their cash, but trying to come out here and doing it against the best players in the world is a completely different deal.”

"Yeah, it's frustrating not being able to play Augusta, Bay Hill, Doral, places I've played really well," said Woods. "Sitting still is how you get better; that's not in my nature."

He's obviously getting bored with all this.  Tiger Woods wants to be playing golf, out amongst it all and try and continue his pursuit to be the greatest of all time. He still believes it even if no one else does anymore...

"I have (Jack) on the regular wins already.  Sam's record I'd like to get as well.  I'm number two on both lists.  It would be nice to end as number one."

If Tiger comes back and beats Jack Nicklaus' Major record, well we think that would be up there with Leicester winning the Premier League this season.  Never say never.
