Thomas Bjorn to be next European Ryder Cup Captain

Paris here we come!

News: Thomas Bjorn will be announced as the next Ryder Cup Captain for Europe at the Club National, France in 2018. The European Tour is expected to confirm the appointment later today.

Hands up who likes me!

The 45-year-old became the first player from Denmark to play in the Ryder Cup and has never been on a losing team as a player, having apppeared at the 1997, 2002 and 2014 events.

His only part of a losing Ryder Cup team came in the recent Ryder Cup at Hazeltine, where he was an assistant captain for Darren Clarke. The 2018 event will take place at Le Golf National just outside of Paris.

Bjorn will be tasked with bringing back 'the good old days' in terms of Ryder Cup sartorial elegance and diet...
