Srixon launches Prostate Cancer Partnership

With Top Pros behind it

Miguel Jimenez and Peter Hanson are among top Srixon pros who have given their support to a new partnership that will put the issue of prostate cancer in front of thousands of men every time they tee off.

Srixon Sports Europe has announced that it will donate £1.50 to Prostate Cancer UK from the sale of every dozen of its next–generation Z–STAR and Z–STAR XV golf balls, with a special 15–ball pack to include balls branded up with their iconic ‘Man of Men’ logo.

"It was only when I picked up one of the charity’s pocket guides at an event that it really hit home," said Leslie Hepsworth, UK & Ireland President at Srixon.

"The information I was reading stopped me in my tracks: one–in–eight men in the UK will be affected by this disease and we currently lose one man an hour to prostate cancer. Next time you finish a five–hour round, think about the five men that would have died of prostate cancer."

Srixon have recruited a roll call of their top golfers to join them in pushing the message about prostate cancer, including Hideki Matsuyama, Graeme McDowell, Shane Lowry and Soren Kjeldsen.

"We want this partnership to be a massive success," said Leslie. "A winning product and a life–saving message seems like a great combination to me."

"It’s an incredible partnership with Prostate Cancer UK. It’s sad the numbers are so high, but hopefully soon we can develop something to stop this happening."

It's a great campaign, and we will be right behind it all the way.
