Oliver Fisher signs for a 59 for first time ever on European Tour

Oliver Fisher has signed for a 59 at the Portuguese Masters to make European Tour history.

Here's his putt for a 58.

So close to a 58, but a 59 is still a record for the European Tour.

The 30-year-old made 10 birdies and an eagle for a 12-under second round in Vilamoura.

"It feels great, I started great and I kept it going," he said.

Nineteen players have posted rounds of 60 on the European Tour, while Jim Furyk hit 58 on the PGA Tour in 2016.

"I'm just pleased I two-putted from 40 feet on the final green," he said.

A 59 has been a very long time coming on the European Tour, so many congratulations to Oliver Fisher!
