Nicklaus Academy Tuition breaks

Have major appeal at Finca Cortesin

Golfers can draw inspiration from one of the game’s legends when they book one of Finca Cortesín Hotel, Golf & Spa’s new luxury tuition breaks at its Jack Nicklaus Academy this winter.

Endorsed by the 18-time Major champion, the state-of the-art facility boasts the ultimate in swing analysis and cutting-edge technology, and the exclusive Spanish resort’s new ‘Golfing Experience Special Package’ offer golfers of all levels the chance to make lasting improvements to their games between now and the end of 2018.

Finca Cortesin’s advanced coaching studio enables golfers to learn quicker and gain a more in-depth knowledge of the golf swing, with technology including high-speed digital cameras, the K-Vest – which provides 3D analysis of the student – and renowned Flightscope technology, which collects extensive data relating to clubhead speed, ball speed, launch angle and distance.

The short game comes under close scrutiny as well using putting analysis from TOMI, which captures eight critical points to help understand key details of the putting stroke.

Costing from €840 (approx £750) per person and based on two people sharing a junior suite, the new teaching breaks include three nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation, six hours’ expert tuition and one green fee each on Finca Cortesin’s acclaimed 18-hole championship course, plus a golf welcome gift including a Finca Cortesin polo shirt and cap.

Coaching features four hours of long game, short game and putting analysis followed by a two-hour on-course playing lesson to put new skills learned at the academy into practice.

There’s plenty for guests to experience away from golf, too. As well as enjoying one à la carte lunch for two people (with drinks) in the golf clubhouse, seasonal fresh fruit and refreshments throughout their stay are also included together with complimentary access to the 2,200m² Spa and Beach Club during the summer season.

Regarded among Europe’s most exclusive modern golf and lifestyle resorts, Finca Cortesin became the first course in Spain to feature a new, environmentally-friendly type of Bermuda grass on its greens this summer, while its Hotel Cortesin was recently ranked 43rd in the world by readers of Condé Nast Travelermagazine in its prestigious ‘2017 Readers’ Choice Awards’.

Set across a vast 532-acre estate, the exclusive Andalucian resort has hosted numerous high-profile tournaments since opening in 2006 – including hosting the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2009, 2011 and 2012 – and is a member of the exclusive European Tour Properties network.

Located in the rolling hills of southern Spain between Marbella and Sotogrande, with the Mediterranean to one side and the tranquil Casares Mountains to the other, Finca Cortesin’s other world-class facilities include an elegant 67-suite hotel, Hotel Cortesin, a 6,000sqm Beach Club and an award-winning spa featuring Spain’s only snow cave, with bespoke treatments by French beauty brand Boilogique Recherche.

Hotel Cortesin offers the choice of four restaurants including El Jardin de Lutz, serving authentic Spanish cuisine, and the Michelin-starred signature Japanese restaurant Kabuki Raw. The development also features an exclusive collection of villas which are available for purchase or rental.
