La Manga announces end of season comp

If you fancy some December sunshine golf

If you are fed up with the prospect of another long winter ahead, why not head to Spain’s La Manga Club to compete in the resort’s popular end-of-season La Manga Club Open at the start of December.

Yes, we know. It’s still August, and we’re in the middle of a Bank Holiday. The sun has been out, and we’ve even been down on the beach. But winter is now around the corner, and if you want to plan some sunshine golf for December, this might be the time to do it.

Taking place for a 16th successive year from December 5-10, La Manga's 54-hole event is set to feature men and women from all over Europe competing on the resort’s famous North and South courses for an array of goodies.

Tournament packages feature four or five nights’ accommodation in the five-star Hotel Principe Felipe or four-star Las Lomas Village, with breaks including breakfast and a welcome pack; a cocktail reception; a gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony.

Prices include tournament entry for golfers, practice balls and on-course refreshments during the event (a practice round is also included for golfers staying five nights).

A choice of four and five-night packages are available for the 16th La Manga Club Golf Open. All breaks include breakfast and a welcome pack; tournament entry, a cocktail reception; a gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony, and are available from €510 (£425 approx) per person in the resort’s Hotel Principe Felipe, or €425 (approx £355) per person in the four-star Las Lomas Village apartments.

We’ve always been big fans of La Manga, and can’t wait to get back out there ourselves.
