Jimmy Walker's wife also diagnosed with Lyme's disease

Erin Walker confirms diagnosis on her blog

Jimmy Walker’s wife, Erin, has revealed that she has been also been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

In a post on her Tour Wife Travels blog, Erin Walker said that she was diagnosed with the disease on Dec. 15, 2017.

She said it is "not my intention to make this story about me," and offered no details about her own health, but promised to update her blog "with my own personal story and continued updates on Jimmy."

Lyme disease is an infection caused by bacteria that are carried by deer ticks. It can cause a number of symptoms, some of which are severe.

If diagnosed and treated early with antibiotics, it is almost always readily cured.

Erin Walker says her husband is feeling about 90 percent back to normal.

"This is our personal story," Erin Walker wrote.

"What works for one person with Lyme, doesn’t necessarily work for someone else. But, the biggest thing we can do is share what we are going through.  We want people to be aware that this strange and horrible disease can happen to anyone."
